Neighborhood Watch Meeting Minutes 7/29/2009

Meeting date:
Wed, 07/29/2009
  • We set up an anonymous e-mail address to stimulate residents getting involved in reporting suspicious/improper behavior:

Please note that this anonymous e-mail address has been set up for your convenience. If you see activity, such as a neighbor driving aggressively, speeding, animals that are repeatedly unrestrained and are not comfortable approaching the neighbor and do not feel the incident requires the immediate attention of the Middletown Police Department, you can e-mail the Neighborhood Watch Committee at the Contact Us link on the web site or email directly at neighborhoodwatch@doverunhomeowners.com. E-mails will be responded to as quickly as possible. Middletown Police will be copied any and all notices sent from the Neighborhood Watch Committee to residents. Of course if the situation requires immediate police attention please call one of the following numbers:

    Emergency - 911

    Non Emergency - (302) 573-2800

Administration Office - (302) 376-9950 (please note that police cannot be dispatched from this number)

  • We will be setting up a Facebook Page for the Dove Run Neighborhood Watch for participants to interact and submit questions/Suggestions.
  • We are still selecting a supplier for the Neighborhood Watch signs. Once selected, we will have an informal contest for residents to design the sign.
  • We discussed New Castle County ordinances regarding animals running loose and the procedure to deal with those situations.
  • The Speed Trailer was formally requested and was supposed to be here this week, but I have not seen it. Officer Brenner has been away on vacation, so I should hear about the status early next week. Dave Fisher will check the status of the speed trailer.

We will be holding our next meeting on Thursday, August 27th (since the Public Safety Commission will be meeting the day prior).
